Appearance: Black with a big tan head and good lacing

Nice and tasty. This is similar to the Mole Porter, but was told it is a different beer. This beer seems to be more robust with hotter peppers.

Bottle. Hazy golden color, medium whitebhead. Aroma of dusty and peppery coriander, clove. Taste is lightly spiced straw.

2012 bottle. Clear deep amber brown color, tan edge head. Aroma of roasted chestnuts and nutella. Taste is vanilla, citrus, butterscotch in a slightly odd combination.

Bottle. Hazy golden color, large fluffy white head with good retention. Aroma of pineapple and citrus. Taste is bitter tropical fruit, coconut. Nice.

Bottle from my Secret Santa, many thanks. Hazy brown color with medium off-white head. Malty aroma with, rye, hints of coffee, ripe fruits, caramel, toffee, liquor. Taste, malt, caramel, vanilla, rye, some spices, plums, salt, notes of whiskey, wood. Almost no bitterness. Very enjoyable beer.

Sample at GABF 10/11/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. The beer is a hazy yellow color with a medium foamy white head and small patches of lacing. Aroma of citrus and wheat. Light-bodied with flavors of lemon, wheat and biscuit malt. The finish is lightly zesty with a citrus aftertaste. Decent overall.
