Description
Bevog microbrewery is the fruit of inquisitiveness and aspiration towards discovering new beer-drinking experiences; it is the result of enthusiasm, love and zeal. We brew beers with character and soul. Our goal is to transcend the limits of the known and ordinary. We have had enough of a monotonous beer offer and the belittling of beer. Beer can be and is much more than that. Bevog brewery is dedicated primarily to beers of top fermentation, more commonly known as ales. The ales we brew basically originate from England. In the last few decades this highly diverse type of beer has been given greater breadth, a wider range of flavors, has been shifting the boundaries of individual styles and becoming more and more popular around the world. It is gaining popularity not only with beer lovers and beer drinkers, but in general with gourmets, top chefs and people who are always willing to explore new flavours and experiences and who care about what they ingest.
Despite the English roots of ales, we here at Bevog are very creative and do not stick to the established norms. We design our beers in our own way, the way we know is right. We choose a beer style, take it apart, add a broad spectrum of gained knowledge, ideas and views, put it back together and polish it into our own beer, which is not rigidly cemented in the prescribed frames of an individual style. When creating recipes, we strive towards perfection and above all refuse all compromise, which is otherwise sadly in abundance in modern mass production.
All of the above has been confirmed by the received awards and prizes, and above all by the many super pleased drinkers of our beer.
Cheers!

On tap at Mel's Diner. Had this Saturday 23rd May 2026 after visiting Ottakringer. Pours yellow in colour with a white head. Doesn't really taste like a West Coast, more like a mish-mash juicy NEIPA with a little West Coast bitterness. Some resinous touches, also tropical, pleasant mouthfeel, soft carbonation. There's a late building bitterness, quite good but definitely not an out and out Westy. Score 7.3

Bottle picked up from Beerlovers, Wien Friday 22nd May 2026 and consumed back at our apartment at the end of the evening, Zoku Aparthotel after a nice afternoon/evening that took in the aforementioned bottle shop and Ammutsøn and the fabulous Kängaru. Pours shark eye black with a slim fast disappearing head, it's difficult to know what colour it was probably beige or a darker brown. Fudge, bitter cocoa, vanilla and caramel on the nose along with some dried dark fruits. Smooth mouthfeel, the flavour following a similar trajectory to the aroma with chocolate coming more to the forefront, there's also a roasty bitterness. This is very good, sweetness is mostly absent, has a very authentic feel to it, v.nice. Score:7.8

Tap at Split Beer Fest. Lightly hazy yellow-golden body, off-white head. Resinous, citric, somewhat peachy aroma, dry. Smooth taste, citric, gummy notes, sweetish, low tartness, bitterish. Nice enough!

On tap at Goblet Zagreb. Unclear yellow coloured, medium sized white head, citrusy nose. Sweetish malty, fruity, citrusy, bit peachy and light herbal with bitterish sweetish finish. Light juicy also but nothing special here.

Bottle at home shared by Joen. Opaque black color, small dark brown colored head. Aroma and flavor are malts, a bit roasty, very bitter actually, metallic bitter. Vanilla? Hmm don't get it tbh. A bit weird aftertaste as well. Hmm too bad, I had higher hopes from Bevog.

Bottle at Goblet, courtesy of Vanja L, who enlisted me to find something excellent, to be shared with me and Jerko K (and Darko M later). Everyone agreed I nailed it hahah. Pitch black body, no head. Caramel and raisins, some vanilla, not that much chocolate in the lovely aroma. Lean, smooth taste, raisins, coconut from the barrel, chcoolate, smooth, slick, a lot of walnuts, vaguely tart, bitterish in the finish. Lovely stuff, Bevog is reliable as always when it comes to this strong dark stuff!
