Draft at Meridian Pint clear yellow color, few champagne bubbles - see pic with menu listing. Aroma has lemon, vanilla, apple flesh. Taste starts with tart apple and citrus, then the tannin comes in. Barrel plays a supporting role here, and does it well. Tasty stuff.

375ml bottle pours a clear gold with some ringing, fizzy head and plenty of carbonation. Nose is solid, white grape, moscato, green apples, tart juice, straw, maybe a little lemon-lime soda. Flavor is buttery and tart, just a tinge of sweetness to help round things out, some Chardonnay, lemon, green apple, lightly juicy. Crisp finish with just a little acid bite.
