Draft sampler at the 2024 Rocky Water Brew Fest. Pours a cloudy gold color with a small white head and good retention. Hoppy aroma. As advertised, it tastes like an IPA with sweet pineapple flavor and a dry finish. Not bad for an IPA, but still not my style.

Draft sampler at the 2024 Rocky Water Brew Fest. Pours a pitch black color with a thick, tight beige head and excellent retention. Hoppy aroma. The flavor is even hoppier than the aroma. Very bitter too. Bitter bomb. Not a fan.

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 4 | Flavor - 3 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 3.5

Draft sampler at the 2024 Rocky Water Brew Fest. Pours a crystal clear pale gold color with a bright white head and great retention. The flavor is light, as expected, but also a little soapy. Not so good.

On tap at Point of Ybel, pours a clear dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma has tons of nutmeg, light vanilla, and a hint of bourbon. Flavour is spicy and dry: the nutmeg and perhaps other spices end up making this seem drier, with bourbon barrel burn on the finish. I much preferred the Fashioned.

7.4
Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.5

On tap at Point of Ybel, pours a clear dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is dominated by the orange zest upfront, followed by vanilla beans, some sugars, and a touch of bourbon. Flavour is sweet and wintery, with lots of orange zest, vanilla beans, and sugars. The bourbon is then felt quite prominently and accentuates the orange and vanilla nicely. Very good.

5.2
Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 5

On tap at Point of Ybel, pours a hazy golden with a medium off-white head. Aroma has muddled lupulin powder, chalkiness, and stone fruit pith. Flavour is more of the same, with chalk hopburn, and stone fruit pith. Poor hop expression and harsh to drink. There's worse out there though.

5.4
Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 5.5

On tap at Point of Ybel, pours a clear bright golden with a medium white head. Aroma smells more like a hazy than it looks, with the hopburn you often get with lupulin powder, some allium, gentle chalk, and a touch of dankness. Flavour is more in the middle of a NE and WC, with a sort of muddled fruity hop character, light allium, and a sort of earthy yeastiness. Then it finishes sweet and not well-balanced. Not happy with the hop expression here.

Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5

On tap at Point of Ybel, pours a deep dark brown with a mahogany tinge and a small tan head. Aroma has plenty of vanilla beans, lactose and some coffee. Flavour has a nice mix of cocoa nibs and coffee upfront, with a touch of vanilla in back. Light-bodied but the flavours are cohesive enough. It's alright.

6.2
Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7

On tap at Point of Ybel, pours a clear golden blonde with a medium foamy white head. Nose has a decent spicy hop character, light grassiness, and crisp crackery malt. Flavour is dry, with a lightly bitter grassy hop character, some straw, and biscuity malt. Fairly clean, with a more timid spicy hop character than I'd hoped. Finishes modestly bitter. Solid enough.
