On gravity at the Grain Barge, Bristol 3/8/08. Amber coloured with a small white head. Big citrus hop aroma with a touch of red fruit. Flavour also had plenty of juicy hops with some biscuit malt and an easy bitter finish. Drinkable.

Cask handpull at Brew Wharf, London, 20 June 2008. Sherberty hop aroma which I like. Odd bleachy flavour in mouth and finish, which I didn’t. Bit of ginger? Some diacetyl even. If it wasn’t for the sherberty hop, I’d throw it away. It’s oddly ok? No, it’s pants.

Cask gravity at Battersea BF 08. Chestnut with thin beige head. It’s a pretty light in flavour session bitter. Some hop, some white stone fruit. Malt is fine. But you can’t expect much, but what there is, is pretty solid.

Cask-conditioned at the Cornubia, Bristol. Fairly standard copper appearance with a slight head. Some floral hops on the nose followed by flavours of biscuity malt and a bitter finish. Good.

Cask at the Fox and Hounds, Warminster, 07-04-07. Poured amber in colour with a goodly head on it. This was a really jolly decent bitter, lovely soft fruitiness, nice biscuityness and balanced by a wonderful sweetnes that ensured that this one trickled down a treat. Lovely beer.

Cask at the Horse and Groom, Westbury, Wilts 07-04-07. A dark strong beer that had a slight haze, very fruity and a bit too much in yer’ face for my liking, and not that well balanced. This one was also just a touch past its best and tasted a bit tired but for all my criticism it was still ok.

Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 2007. Black beer with brown edges. Thin beige head. Charcoal and roasted malt aroma. Juicy dark fruits in mouth, Quite sour. Sour dark plum. Some tarry intensity on the palate. Took me a bit of time to drink this one, very thick in the mouth and intense.

Cask. Clear, still and golden, with a small white head. Malty start, soon replaced by american (?) hops. Hoppy flavor with citrus and pine-cones. Medium body and a citric finish. Pleasant beer, but I could wish for more fullness and bite. (060711)

Cask. Golden, still beer with some off-white bubbles on the top. Weak, balanced aroma, maybe a bit on the hoppy side. Quite hoppy flavor at the beginning, but the malt comes through quite strongly after a little while. Medium body and a long bitter finish, with pine-cone notes. (060711)
