Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear dark brown with a thin cream-coloured head. Aromas of light spice and dark toffee. Hint of dark marmalade. Taste is rich dark fruit cake, nutmeg. Dry finish cleans things up. Good stuff.

Fra cask på GBBF aug-19: klar mørkerød kobber med fint skum som varer helt ned. En slank, smaksrik og lettdrikkelig bitter med toner av barskog, urter, litt karamell og mørke bær. Soft and charming.

2nd June 2018, cask half-pint, hand-pulled in The Ponsonby Arms, Llangollen, Wales. Clear golden body, wispy white head. Not a great amount going on really, some mild maltiness and a slight citrus note or two. An easy drinking afternoon session ale, but not full of flavour or any depth of body.

On cask at Woodfest 2017 Castleford - Clear gold, decent head. Nose is grassy and citrus, not much different in the taste. Bit uninspiring golden one.
