Tried at the Newark Beer Festival 2016. Golden colour with a white head. Light malty and sweet aroma and taste. Not the most exciting beer

Clear red beer with a decent while head. Smell is bitter and hoppy. Taste is much the same but there’s tangy fruit in there too and a bit of dry malt which carries through to the finish.

Burnley Beer Festival 2015. Clear golden coloured. Light session ale that’s well balanced with a slightly more dominant malty character, although its hops are evident too.

500ml bottle from Booths - Clear chestnut brown body, thin white head. Nose is sweet malty caramel toffees, taste starts with honey sweetness, and ends with a bit of a tart metallic finish. Rather average beer.

Clear golden beer with a decent white head. Barely any aroma one way or the other. Flavour is light, sweet hop. Not anything special but very drinkable.

Cask (backlog). Rubyish brown colour with a mediumsized foamy beige head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is roasted malts, coffee, some chocolate, mild bitter wooden and floral notes along with some ripe fruits as well. Flavour is quite similar, but is a bit strong on the roasted side. Surprisingly tasty 4.3 % beer, which did feel stronger than it actually is.

500ml bottle from Booths, Penwortham. Pours clear pale gold, massive head. Over-carbonated. Aromas of lemon and light malt. Taste is lemon, light astringency. Thin, dry finish. Far too fizzy.

Cask at the Brown Cow, Dalton-in-Furness. Light to mid gold, with a loose white head and lots of lacing. Lemon, bread, grass, malt and a bit of butter in the aroma. The taste is bittersweet with a tiny bit of sourness. An intriguing peppery note as well. Light body, smooth mouthfeel. A slap of unexpected bitterness in the palette. This won’t win any awards but it’s a decent enough brew.
