Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours a slightly dark ruby with a small foamy off-white head and good lacing. Thereโs malts and caramel in the aroma. In the mouth it is sweet but rather watery. Flavour is malts and caramel again but with hints of floral hops, toffee and spice as well. A little bitterness in the finish. This is reasonable but decidedly bland.

Bottle at home liberated from my Mother's house. Well chilled as its a crazily hot day, but it meant the sediment got stirred up. Oh well and anyway. Good bitter hops, bit of farmyard (which is always a favourite) and really smooth. Probably would have been better at the correct temperature, but not today. Anyway, back to the Lady's singles final.

2026 Skipton Beer Festival #12. My love for this one is like Bad Medicine; Bad Medicine is what I need. A clear darker brown coloured stout, which is not very stated within its own style, but is fair amongst dark ales if this ilk, and is very drinkable.

Bottle. A gift from Totnes. The person not the place. Heโs a fine fellow. This is wank though. Smells of butter and wet paper. Taste is pretty rank. Dry and slightly sour. Thin and dry overall. Yeah. Wank. Imagine selling shit like this and hoping youโll get away with it.
