Large rocky white head on an unclear pale golden coloured body. Fruity, newspaper & grain aroma. Medium bodied, foamy sharp & clean. Malt, grapefruit, pine, & bitter citrus tastes with a pithy finish. Very refreshing.

Cask at Hops, Crewe Pours a golden yellow with a generous white head and good lacing. Aroma is mainly lemon with some caramel. It the mouth the sweetness is pronounced with honey and citrus plus traces of malts and spices. A dry finish with some citrus. Quite pleasant.

27/6/2020. Bottle from Beer Cockermouth (beergb.com), and shared with the SHIG at the Cumbrian 20 bottle share. Pours clear pale gold with a bubbly/frothy white head. Aroma of citrus, spicy hops, caramel, honey, hint of resin. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Moderate body, slight creamy texture, soft carbonation. Nice bittersweet finish. My favourite at the tasting and the one I went back to to finish as we toured the Abbey Gardens after.

Bottle from Beer Ambleside. Appearance - golden yellow, fairly thin head and carbonation doesn't seem particularly ferocious. Nose - honey and bread. Taste - again, honey dominant. Cake. Palate - creamy, tangy and medium bodied. A bit cloying to be honest. Overall - a bit too sweet.

Slightly hazy golden beer, white head. Light citrus aroma. Taste is citrus, light bitter hop, a touch of sour aftertaste. Nothing remarkable but perfectly drinkable.

Bottle from Booths, Lancaster. Clear paler golden ale with not much of a head. This is a steady golden ale with a very small fruitiness. The honey isn’t too evident in taste, but it does give the ale a nice smoothness in its texture.
