Keg at Cloisters. Dark brown body with a thin beige head. Good lacing. Aroma of chocolate, Bovril and roasted coconut. Flavour of blueberry, coconut and wood. Medium body with a creamy texture. Light fizz. A cracking beer - full flavoured and exactly what I look for in this style.

On cask at Cloisters. Appearance - opaque black with a creamy head. Nose - chocolate and coconut. Taste - more bounty bar. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture. The finish is fairly balanced. Overall - luscious and good.

Bottle from the Beer Hive. Pours dark brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of chocolate, vanilla. Taste is light wood, more vanilla and chocolate. Slightly thin finish.

On keg at the Bow Bar. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely crema head. Nose - definitely Turkish Delight in there. Chocolate around it. Taste - big rosewater and generally Turkish Delight notes again. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long elegant finish. Overall - I happen to really like Turkish Delight so this is a beer for me.

7.0 abv keg dark black.. Thin tan lacing... Soft chocolate roast malts nose... Dark dry chocolate roast.. Big cherries.. Light chilli... Soft mint fruit

Black beer, thin head. Earthy, malty aroma. Flavour has all sorts. Malt, chocolate, a dash of coffee, vanilla, some tangy fruit, and I think there really is a woody-spirit taste from the bourbon. Not the richest beer of the sort you’ll ever have but pretty tasty all the same.

Bottle courtesy of dad, cheers dad consumed at the end of the evening after Merton Beer Festival, Oxon, Friday 24th February 2017 Pours black with a beige head. Quite smooth with a good hit of vanilla, chocolate and light creamy coffee. Not really picking up the coconut that others do, that said it does have a chocolate bar nod to it. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5

Keg at the Bootlegger, 10/02/17. Clear golden with a decent off white head. Nose is light caramel, lemon peel, straw, toasted grains, light peppery spice, melon. Taste comprises light bread dough, pale malts, orange pith, grassy vibes, subtle red berry and blueberry rasp, toasted grains, light herbal notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok stuff.
