Description
We create everything from one-off experimental beers to a solid range of our favourite styles. There’s also a fair amount of dinosaurs (naturally) and retro video game references involved. We’re often at our Sneinton taproom, at various beer festivals, and obviously down the pub, so come and say Hi! Thank you for being on this journey with us and we hope you enjoy our beer as much as we enjoy making it!

Can split at the farewell to Monica tasting, Watford, thanks to Kenneth 20/09/24. Lighter shade of black topped with a khaki cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is sweet malts, chocolate, toffee, nutty, icing sugar. Taste comprises chocolate, dark malts, nutty, toffee, sweet malts. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a kiss of balanced alcohol. Not bad .. but not one I'd revisit.

Can at Watford Tasting. From Ken. Aroma is reminiscent of carrot cake/walnut cake. Doughy chocolate streak. Develops a berry edge. Opaque dark brown. Foamy tan head. Flava is chocolatey with a boozy edge. Not getting the cake. Medium-heavy bodied. Oily. Soft-average carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Rich. A good tick.

Bottleshare at Chez Frog. Thanks to me for the can. Opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Airy smooth palate, mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Fluffy dark malts, a decent chocolate vibe. Mild walnut savoury. Carrot cake? Pretty light and on the finish. A little alcohol spice on the semi dry finish. Tidy but doesn't nail the concept for me.

Can picked up from Hoptimaal webshop Amersfoort Netherlands and consumed at home Sunday 15th September 2024 listening to Stuart Maconie - The Freak Zone on 6Music after the last 15-20 mins of Tom Robinson beforehand. Pours hazy yellow with a large white head, super soft mouthfeel, aromatic and a little tropical, juicy, very good, like this.
