Description
Beoir Chorca Dhuibhne (West Kerry Brewery) is Kerry’s first micro brewery, established in 2008 by Adrienne Heslin, Ireland's First Female Micro Brewer.
We pride ourselves in combining water drawn from 150ft below the brewery, predominantly Irish malted barley, hops and fresh yeast, with a touch of botanicals from the garden and locality such as rosehips, elderflower, blackberries and black currants added to our seasonal beers. These give a unique flavour and identity, known as the Riasc Range alluding to the townland we are situated in.

Huge, dense cream to greige head over ochre-rimmed dark brown beer. Bit of plastic, solvent, dark malts. More plastic, but blending way better with the dark, meloidin-rich malts. Some hops rounding off with a mild bitterness. Medium bodied, quite slick, slowly dwindling flavours. Decent, if nothing more.

Cask Frothy light cream-coloured head over clear foxy chestnut beer. Sweet apples, left-over orchard ones, and quite a bit of solvent. Sweetish taste with a bitter finish, bit like bitter almonds or apple kernels. Light body, bit velvety MF. Not bad, if a tad too sweet to my taste.

Cask Cream-coloured reddish tinted head, very voluptuous (cask!) ver reddish amber beer. Flowery nose, some natural fruitsugars obvious. Bitterish, bitter almonds flavour. Almondy flavour too pronounced - the rosehips? Quite creamy texture - especially with the head so tenacious! One flavour too overpowering - more’s the pity, as a subtle flavour of rosehips is usually great in beer.
