Bottle from Hog’s Back Brewery shop. Liquor coffee aroma. Glossy and thick looking. Unfortunately the beige head receded too quickly. Gains in bitterness. Coffee as expected. Sour berries. Roasty smokiness. Underlying cream sweetness. Medium bodied. Slick. Average carbonation. Surprisingly abrupt finish, leaves a low key coffee aftertaste. Somewhat restrained but I personally wouldn’t want it to be too sweet or in my face. Works for me.

Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence. A hazy straw colour with a thin white head; yeasty aroma with some summer fruit; grainy body with a taste of sour cherries, nicely balanced; then a dry biscuity finish with a trace of pepper and lingering quinine. Very good.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 5 April 2017. Golden in colour and slightly hazy, with a slight, off-white, head. Tangerine and pineapple fruits, some citrus hops, grainy malts and a dryish finish with a hint of spice. Enjoyable.

Cask at the 26th Egham beer festival, Egham, Surrey. A black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top that didn’t linger. Roasty, coffee, caramel aroma. Tastes roasty, bitter coffee, caramel. Didn’t pick up any real sweetness but this was rather pleasant nevertheless.
