Can split at L42, thanks to Danyell Boyo, 13/02/18. Lightly hazed golden with a respectable egg shell white head. Nose is grassy, light pine slither, melon, toasted malts, orange pith. Taste comprises grapefruit, cantaloupe melon, straw, orange pith, toasted grains, soft bread, apricot. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced lightly aggresive hop bitterness. Solid clean drinking DIPA but had hoped for a touch more from these guys based on previous beers rated.

Can. Turner’s, Sheffield. Just about clear, pale copper colour. Thin, tight, lacing, lasting, white head. Looks great, albeit unfashionable. Nose has boiled citrus. Pine needle. Minty toffee. Some oily herb. Ginger biscuit malts as a backdrop. Taste is sweet and chewy, with a big hit of piny, sappy, spicy bitterness. Plenty of body here, feeling oily and lightly chewy. Lots of lip sticking sweetness. Soft carbonation. Piny and slick, oily bitterness to finish. Really good to see a UK brewer going down their own route, and not following the current norm of murky juice.

Good cooling pine very well integrated with smooth citrus and a little citrus peel, modest tropical fruits underneath. Smooth and mildly spicy finish. Suave and engaging.
