Cask handpull at The Baltic Fleet, Liverpool. Attractive very deep ruby colour with lasting tan head. Amazing mild, full of chocolate, coffee and roasted malts. Grainy, but not powdery in the mouth. Decent dry roasted slightly bitter finish too. But the choc/coffee intensity is stunning. My best mild of the year already for 2007? Could be.

Cask handpull at The Baltic Fleet, Liverpool. Gold colour with disappearing off white head. Trademark yeast and citric hop aroma. Nicely citrusy beer, very easy drinking. Not as full on as the Three Sheets to the Wind I had before, but still very hoppy but more restrained.

Cask handpull at The Baltic Fleet, Liverpool. Gold colour with lasting off white head. Citric grapefruit aroma, like an APA. Bit of yeast, solid smooth malt in mouth before this amazing gorgeous APA style hop kicks in. Grapefruit is amazing. Bit of sherbert. If this is their answer to an APA, then itโs just awesome. I had to have the other half before I left.

Cask handpull at the Augustus John, Liverpool. Gold colour with lasting thin beige head. Citrus hop and yeast aroma. Typical Wapping floral, slightly astringent hop. Good solid malt structure before the hops are back for their tingly party piece on the long finish. Sllightly farty yeast, but the hops are great.

Cask at GBBF 2006. A pitch black beer with no head. The aroma is sweet roasted, and so is the flavor, leading to a dry end.
