Draught at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2015. Opaque bl liquid with medium tan head. Aroma of peach, bubblegum, coffee and licorice. Taste is dry, light bitter and light sour with notes of peach and coffee. Medium bodied with low to medium carbonation. Weird.

Poured on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a murky papery gold body that supports a near white head of foam. The aroma offers up crazy notes that are hard to describe. I get earthy gravel like soil and then a sweet flowery sort of candy like baby aspirin note that can come across a bit like clear plastic tubing (but it’s most certainly the creosote). The taste delivers an even blend of spicy saison notes and lemon like tartness before the semi sweet flowery earthy aspirin note kicks in. It heads into the finish with lingering pleasing tartness and soft mild spicy yeast notes as it dries out and the creosote note quickly fades. Fun beer for the AZ monsoon lover.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a murky deep gold body that has little tiny red bits of real wolf in it; so you know it’s good. On top of the wolf sits a thin white head. The aroma offers up yeasty saison spices, a dash of lemon and then quickly getting into a moderate level of earthy berry candy that’s sort of sweet tart candy blended in there too. The taste delivers lemon tartness, soft spicy saison like yeastiness and then growing earthy sweet berry. The berry is sweet, earthy and kind of sorghum earthiness. Interesting with plenty of balance and depth.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a murky amber colored body that supports a dirty white head of foam. The aroma forces up firm bourbon notes, spicy oak and then caramel and tootsie roll candy. Nice. The aroma is barrel forward but it’s growing on me. The taste delivers smooth sweet bourbon sweetened by caramel and tootsie roll candy. Toward midway the sweetness is cut by booze and spicy oak notes. Solid sipper.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a somewhat hazy deep gold body that supports a bright white head. The aroma offers up corn, floral hops, a lemon shard and then faint lager esters. The taste delivers a pleasing modest lime and floral hop bitterness leading quickly into corn and mild sweet lagery fruity esters. It ends with a nice lingering hop bitterness and sweet lagery yeast sensation.

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits an opaque copper body that supports a thin white head. The aroma offers up all kinds of notes like apple, spicy oak, grapes, sour wine and a dash of vanilla. The taste delivers tart notes rolling quickly into spicy oak, tart wine and then a mild contrasting sweet vanilla sensation. The tartness comes from the wine, an acidic note, a slice of tart apple and then a sliver of spicy oak somehow rendering a quick bit of tartness too. Fun beer.
