(Cask at Craft Beer Co Covent Garden, London, 21 Nov 2024) Amber colour with foamy, tan head. Malty nose with nuts, caramel and dark bread. Malty taste with notes of caramel, dark bread, dried fruit, nuts and a gentle earthy bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Refreshing and well balanced bitter. Nice one.

440ml can. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a thin, broken off-white head. The aroma is roasty, light cinnamon. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, rich, roasty, herbal, light red berry fruit, big spicy cinammon palate. Over medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. Always love Christmas spices!

Hand-pulled half-pint in the Swadford Tap, Shipton, afternoon of Friday 17th January 2025. Black viscous body, tan topping. Cinder Toffee like nose and taste, enjoyed it, my sweet tooth loved it!
