Bottle conditioned 500ml poured carefully into a UK pint sleeve at home on 30th Oct 2015. No sediment appeared to leave the bottle and I got an amber to terracotta bodied beer that was almost clear, the head a deep, white blanket of lasting foam. Over carbonated or a bit ’green’, this is not the best beer I have had from this small family run brewery. A mild yeasty, not quite ready smell, yet a near skunky aroma hit my nose as well, with a taste that followed the same lines. A lesser man would have drain poured it but I stuck my task and managed to finish the whole 500ml. Scored objectively.

500ml bottle conditioned: obtained at the brewpub. Poured slowly into a UK pint sleeve on 30 Oct 2015. Clear mid-brown body, the head a deep uneven off-white blanket of lasting foam. Mixed fruit basket aroma with a malty feel in the air, some yeastiness in there too, same with the taste: fruity and malty with a yeasty presence within. Slightly bitter, hop finish to each sip to compliment the semi-sweetness in the flavours. Another pleasant beer from this young lady who I have yet to meet. Bats above it’s 3.8% ABV with flavour and depth from the first gulp to the last.

On tap at the Threehorse Shoes, Waddington. Deep golden colour with a white head. Aroma and taste are refreshing hops. Told this was the breweries 100th beer.

500ml bottle conditioned into a UK pint sleeve at home on 24th Sep 2015. Slight haze to the amber body, terracotta hue to the colour, the head a deep off-white pillow of foam. Light malts in the nose, more hop bitterness in the taste, the malts being overshadowed somewhat, woody notes appeared as the beer warmed a little and the malts came into their own a bit more as I got used to the flavours, bread and some fruitiness finally arriving before the dry semi-bitter finish.

27th Aug 2015: hand-pulled half-pint at the brewpub. Fourth and final beer of the lunchtime session (they only had four beers on tap). This being the strongest, it was left until last. Amber body, clean and clear, full white crown on top. Nice blend this beer, fruity, slightly citrusy and yet some semi-sweet malts coming through into the flavour as well. All in all a very pleasant few beers, took four bottles away with me to try (and rate) at home in the near future: looking forward to opening them if they are as good bottle conditioned as the four I had on my brewpub visit.

27th Aug 2015: hand-pulled half-pint at the brewpub. Third beer of the lunchtime mini session and the young Brewster is doing well. Light amber with a red hue body wise with a good white topping. Hops lead the way in the aroma, fruity and herbal notes combined to give a pleasing nose. More malt involvement in the taste, nice bitterness from those hops though. A very easy drinking Bitter and I believe their best seller.

27th Aug 2015: hand-pulled half-pint at the brewpub. Hop front to this clear blond beer, a good white head sat proudly on top as the beer glistened in the sunlight. Subtle fruitiness without any citrus bite, makes a pleasant change not to have a citrus tasting golden beer in the UK at present. Refreshing and in good condition.
