Description
Armagh Cider Company is owned by Philip and Helen Troughton of Ballinteggart House, outside Portadown. The Troughton family have been growing apples there for five generations since 1898.

500ml bottle from Hop Knocker, Durham. Bright golden colour, white foam head that dissipates away and aroma of musty, funky apple. Taste is sweet, tangy, leathery barnyard funk, and orchardy apple, with some tannin. Medium bodied, low carbonation, sweet finish. Quite OK

500ml bottle from Hop Knocker, Durham. Sparkling, pale golden colour, with a fizzy white foam head that quickly dissipates away and aroma of apple, green apple, hint of sulphur. Taste is sweetish, green apple, ginger note, with mucky barnyard, leathery funk and drying citric. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry acidic finish. Quite OK.

500ml bottle from M&S Fort William. Pours a golden colour with a white foam head that dissipates away and aroma of funky apple. Taste is fruity apple, with some barnyard funk and drying tannin. Light to medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, medium dry finish. Nicely drinkable.
