Bottle from Marks & Spencer. Pale gold in colour and fizzy. This was another one of those 4.5% ciders - sweet, pulpy fruit, a flinty edge and not much else. Not for me.

500ml bottle, gift from blackhaddock. Thanks mate. Shared with Soph. Pours gold with a light mist. Aroma has sweet apple, floral pot pourri. Fairly light, floral sweet apple in the taste, distant summer berries. Expected a sugary, saccharine sweet cider, but this was surprisingly light and drinkable, and doesn't appear to disown the apple fruit present. Soph liked it, which is often a good sign.

Bottle sample thanks to Paul. Appearance - golden like a morning wee. Initially plenty of bubbles but it calms down a fair bit. Nose - apple skins and dry sharp apple notes. Taste - more crisp apple and skin notes. Palate - medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - good. Crisp indeed!
