Bottle at home, rain delay in the Ashes, picked up from either a beer store or a supermarket in the Newry area, 18/06/23. Clear golden copper with a good sized cap of off white thinly knit bubbles that soon dissipates to spotting and a swirl. Nose is sweet apple pulp, sugar dusting, light honey, grains. Taste comprises sweet apple, light tannins, trace of honeycomb, sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. It's okay but overly sweet for my liking.

Bottle at Mum and Dads, picked up from Tesco Newry, 25/01/23. Golden copper pour with a fast collapsing white head. Nose is bitter sweet apple, light herb, caramel, dusty toffee apple. Taste comprises dusty apples, light herbal notes, hedgerow, apple skins, burnt sugar, cooking apple. Medium bodied, light prickly carbonation, drying close with a light astringent edge. Hmm ... a bit of an odd one ... not terrible has a slightly off note about it ... fobbed it off to the old man whose assessment was 'I've had worse' !
