Huge fizzy shortlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry and funky fruity, berry skin, red berries, rhubarb, sorrel, hay, black currants. Taste is slightly sour-ish dry, rhubarb, red berries, sorrel, hay, minerals, paper, fruit stones, berry skin, hints of black currants. Medium bitterness slightly sour-ish dry mouthfeel, very high carbonation. Fair enough.

Bottle. A clear, ruby red beer with a few bubbles on top. The aroma is quite berry-ish, with rhubarb and a touch of apples. Some white sugar. It’s fruity and berryish on the palate too, medium bodied and a bit heavy on the carbonation. Rhubarb notes and a touch of white sugar and apples. Long berry-sour and berry-tasting finish. Refreshing, but I guess it suits young girls on a hot summer day than it suits me. 151231

Bottle. A gusher, invading my laptop keybord, the table and lots of papers. It pours a clear, pale yellowish golden body under a small, white head. The aroma is quite weak, with pear and apple and some cores, something lime-like and grassy showing up too. It’s super-effervescent on the palate, rather thin, with flavors of pear, apple, some white sugar and sulphur hints. Long sugary fruit finish. Not my kind of drink, and way, way too carbonated. 151231

On tap at Pingvinen, Bergen. A clear, golden cider with a small, white head. Citrusy, piney nose with apple, cores and some grass. There’s some bitterness in the mouth, with citrusy piney hops doing most of the work, apples and apple cores in the back. Grassy hints. Ligthly tart on the palate, close to full-bodied, and quite dry. Nice carbonation and a long finish. A pretty lovely and refreshing drink indeed. 151005
