Bomber with huge thanks and 1 million beer karma points to Daknole! Pours black with a small brown creamy head that dissipates slowly and laces well. Aroma is roasty, cocoa, peanut. Flavor is chocolatey, roasty, some peanut. Surprisingly light on the sweetness given the name, with a nice bitterness from the roasted malts. Medium body, very creamy lactic mouthfeel. This beer wont change the world, but I am guessing it is my new favorite non-imperial stout. Very very well done Fate!

Growler pours with a dark mahogany body supporting a small tan head of foam. The aroma is all big dark roasted coffee notes that go all over the place where the coffee just takes over. Behind all of the coffee I get just snippets of pine hops and earthy herbal hop notes. The taste is similar with big smooth rich dark roasted coffee. Then in the back of the coffee are tasty notes of pine to dank onion to grapefruit like citrus hoppiness. Nice hoppy and roasty goodness where it all goes so well together. Well done.

Growler, thanks daknole! Pours deep ruby black with a fast dissipating tan head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is citrus, pine, just a touch of roast. Flavor is the same, very light sweetness, medium bitter. Much more an IPA than a black IPA (color notwithstanding), but nice nonetheless. Fairly light body.

Growler pours up crystal clear deep gold and with a light tan head. The aroma offers up various bitter citrus notes as well as a bit of biscuit to slightly roasted malts. The taste lays out grapefruit and tangerine like citrus hop bitterness as well as resiny hop notes that lean toward pine sap. It has a pleasing richness, smoothness and depth that I can really sink my teeth into. About midway I get a mild malt roastiness of sorts that sort of muddles the experience some. Into the finish and after taste are pleasing citrus hop goodness that are both resiny and bitter as well as sweet malt nuanced juiciness. Yep, pretty darn nice.

Growler pours up clear copper with thin gold edges and supporting a white head of foam. The aroma is thick with muted grapefruit and clementine oranges as well as, to a lesser extent, pine resin and mango. The taste has both soft and resiny hops that are going from grapefruit and tangerine and mango to slivers of resiny pine sap. Pretty nice.
