Bottle at home. Pours a hazy amber colour with an off-white head. Quite fruity aroma of grapefruit, orange peel, pineapple, pine, grass, mango, jelly beans and some diacetyl. A little dusty aroma as well. The flavour is more hoppy with pine, grass, caramel and grapefruit. Has a slick and soft mouth feel, medium body and a medium to heavy bitterness. Solid IPA. Fruity and hoppy, the latter in the flavour. Too bad with the diacetyl.

Delikat, mørk sjokoladeaktig bitterhed i afslutningen.

Bottle at home. Has a slightly hazy matt amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma of apple cider vinegar, hay, passionfruit, lime and lactic acid. Passionfruit also in the flavour along with lime, apple cider vinegar, hay and wheat buns. Has a silky mouth feel and light body. A nice, fresh and fruity aroma, and in the flavour the passionfruit is very present and fits this Berlinerweisse well. Well balanced between sour and fruit.

Bottle at home. The colour is dark brown to black with a light brown head. Aroma of chocolate truffles, coffee, roasted malt, burned wood and some soy sauce. Has a more roasted flavour with ash, wood, leather, dark chocolate and some grass in a little dry ending. Has a soft mouth feel, full-bodied and light to medium bitterness. Nice roasted aroma and flavour, tasteful and nice. A perfectly velvety mouth feel on this.

Bottle at home. Has a clear bronze color topped with a beige head. Lightly malty aroma of bread, wood and some leather, apricot and fudge. Grass is equally evident. Hints of cooked vegetables. The taste is similar with malty tones of fudge, bread, leather and a little apricot. Against the aftertaste, grassy hops enter. Has a smooth and nice mouthfeel, medium mouthfeel, and light to medium bitterness. A malty ale with fine grassy hop tones all the way. Well balanced. This makes me think of altbier.

Bottle, at Nærbø Ølfestival 2017. It pours a brown unclear body under a small beige head. The aroma has berries, blackcurrant mostly and funk, with some caramel and dried fruits, and a leathery funky touch. It’s full-bodied and soft on the palate, nicely carbonated, and mostly on the dry side. Blackcurrant, funk and some caramel and dark dried fruits in the flavor. Leather, barnyard and some horseblanket. Lasting berry driven funky finish. I’m normally not a blackcurrant fan, but this was sure nice. 171021

Bottle, at Nærbø Ølfestival 2017. An unclear brown colored beer with a beige head. Caramel, raisin, prunes, some dark sugar and leather, vague hints of fresh fruits and a pleasant light vinegar-ish sourish touch. It’s medium to full-bodied, I’d prefer a bit more body actually, it’s smooth on the palate, and dry, with a soft carbonation. Caramel, dark dried fruits, some berries and dark sugar, with hints of bread and leathery funk and sourness. The dark sugar flavor doesn’t include the sweetness from the sugar. Lasting finish with caramel, dark dried fruits and a nice sourness. A really pleasant one. 171021
