Under the direction of brewmaster David Morton, Lander’s only local brewery has won numerous awards for its craft beers. In 2011 Lander Brewing Company won the coveted Saratoga Steinley Cup, the top award for the best microbrewery in the State of Wyoming. Both The Great American Beer Festival and The North American Brewers Association have bestowed the Lander Brewing Company with abundant medals for several of its beers.
The Lander Brewing Company initially reopened its doors with hopes of bringing craft beer to Cowfish Restaurant and the next door Lander Bar. Over a decade later, the brewery has grown substantially and is now supplying its beer varietals to other restaurant and bar accounts in Lander, as well as in Jackson Hole, Riverton, Casper, Cody, Rock Springs and many other Wyoming locations.
The Lander Brewing Company prides itself on brewing fresh, high quality, “to style” beers using the finest ingredients and techniques. Joining brewmaster David Morton, is brewer Adam Bridgeford. David and Adam's many years of professional brewing expertise in concert with the exceptional water sourced from the Wind River Mountains provide the flavor profile of our many signature beers. You can sample Atlantic City Gold, Jack Mormon Pale Ale, Rockchuck Rye, Half-Tanked Hefeweizen, On Belay IPA and our latest seasonal offerings at the source or at the upcoming Lander Brew Fest.

On draught at Racca's.
Pours dark brown, some reddish highlights, small head of foam.
Smells of mild roasted malt, dark chocolate, hints of coffee.
Tastes mostly of roasted malt, dark chocolate, mild coffee. Mild everything really. I couldn't find any abv info but I doubt the lightness in flavour is due to low abv.
Light bodied, decent carbonation.
Not bad but not worthy of a repeat.

$3.00 16 ounce Prowler bought at Liquor Shed.
Pours a clear copper with a finger of foam and very good lacing.
Big aromas of wheat, some caramel malt, very small hop presence.
Tastes of wheat, some sweet and earthy malt, and a more assertive hop flavour. I'd call it citrus. Taste beats smell here.
Medium body with the carbonation on the lighter side.
Pretty impressive Pale Wheat in my book.

Howler style
Pours dark brown with reddish hues, great head of long lasting foam.
Caramel malt smell in abundance, some chocolate, some toasted bread.
Same as the smell with an additional dark chocolate bitterness in the finish.
Overall, a very nicely brewed Bock.

Draft: Clear, light gold....bubbly...with a small white head. Very mild....sweet grain malt aroma. Flavour is grain malt, a little lemon...grass.... Pretty neutral and forgettable, but not bad.

On tap at the brewery. Dark copper appearance with a brown head. Aroma is nutty, spicy, and full of caramel. Carbonation is soft, almost like a nitro brew. Moderately sweet. Chewy. Caramel, toffee, and pecans. Luckily not as awful as the previous three that I tried but it’s also not something I’d ever think of repeat ordering.

On tap at the brewery. Lightly hazy yellow orange appearance with a nice, long lasting white head. Nutty, some cooked veggies, light toast, and dull hops. Woody and herbal. Doesn’t seem too fresh or in too good of shape.

On tap at the brewery. Clear yellow appearance with a white head. Aromas of apples, grapes, lemons, and a ton of spice. Awfully sweet with a shit load of lemon. Lightly tart and slightly herbal. Not good.

On tap at the brewery. Hazy golden appearance with a white head. Quite a bit of clove, a shit load of white pepper, apples, bananas. Fairly sweet. Some candy notes. First beer here that I really couldn’t stand.

On tap at Lander Bar. Somewhat hazy, dull orange appearance with an off white head. Aroma is skunk bud, pine, grapefruit, and resin. Medium body. Moderate high bitterness. Kind of a weird flavor. Cracker, burnt toast, pepper, pine, and resin. Too bitter for my liking. OK but not great.

On tap in Lander. Initially a nice, foamy, rocky white head which dissipates pretty quickly and a clear golden appearance. Aroma has sticky, resiny, dank hops and light fruit. Clean flavor. Maybe a hint of chemicals/pesticides. Weed, pine, and resin. Not crazy good but solid.
