Description
The Lander Brewing Company began brewing beer in the late 1800’s in a small facility just across the Popo Agie River from its current Main Street location. A thriving operation for many years, Lander’s first brewery was forced to cease production due to The Prohibition Act. The brewery was re-established 120 years later and Lander residents and visitors can once again enjoy the delicious taste of fresh, locally made craft beer.

Under the direction of brewmaster David Morton, Lander’s only local brewery has won numerous awards for its craft beers. In 2011 Lander Brewing Company won the coveted Saratoga Steinley Cup, the top award for the best microbrewery in the State of Wyoming. Both The Great American Beer Festival and The North American Brewers Association have bestowed the Lander Brewing Company with abundant medals for several of its beers.

The Lander Brewing Company initially reopened its doors with hopes of bringing craft beer to Cowfish Restaurant and the next door Lander Bar. Over a decade later, the brewery has grown substantially and is now supplying its beer varietals to other restaurant and bar accounts in Lander, as well as in Jackson Hole, Riverton, Casper, Cody, Rock Springs and many other Wyoming locations.

The Lander Brewing Company prides itself on brewing fresh, high quality, “to style” beers using the finest ingredients and techniques. Joining brewmaster David Morton, is brewer Adam Bridgeford. David and Adam's many years of professional brewing expertise in concert with the exceptional water sourced from the Wind River Mountains provide the flavor profile of our many signature beers. You can sample Atlantic City Gold, Jack Mormon Pale Ale, Rockchuck Rye, Half-Tanked Hefeweizen, On Belay IPA and our latest seasonal offerings at the source or at the upcoming Lander Brew Fest.

Some rye, and some caramel. Easy drinking and inoffensive, if nothing super interesting. Bottle.

On draught at Frontier Brewing and Taproom.

Pours the palest of pales, nice small head of foam, great lacing for a light beer.

Smells kinda lime hoppy, light grain.

Taste light lime, light grain, no excessive sweetness with a mild bitterness.

Tasty and refreshing.

500ml bottle bought at Liquor Shed.

Pours a clear pale gold with an impressive head of foam.

The nose is nice. Citrus hops with an enjoyable bitterness, some toasted malt and a light sweet note or two.

The taste is, tasty. Centennial and Cascade hops bring the citrus and a touch of pine. Pale and Crystal malt bring some toasted malt with a light sweetness.

Good mouthfeel.

It's been a while since I have had this one. Apparently, I like it more now.
