Sample from tap @ the brewery tap. Clear dark brown color. Big, dense, beige head. Aroma’s: malty sweet, vanilla. Retronasal the bourbon really comes out, with vanilla/oak and rum-raisins. Flavor is roasted, whiskey, but hardly sweet. Body is quite thin. Finishes somewhat roasted. OK, but not quite the right beer for bourbon barrel aging imo.

On tap @ the brewery. Deep dark red-brown color. Beige head (not much). Aroma’s: sweet, red fruit, sticky toffee. Flavor is sweet, malty, alcohol (even thought the alcohol feel is not too strong). Quite full bodied. Finishes moderately bitter. Solid barley wine, albeit on the sweet side.

On tap @ the brewery. Clear, blonde color. White head, good lace. Aroma’s: fresh hops, citrus, resin. Flavor is bitter with a hint of acidity. Medium bodied. Finishes pungent bitter. Awesome IPA, at least fresh from the brewery.
