Big black pour with very little head. Very neutral in aroma, no smell of hops here. Oooooh boy, first taste is a roasty IPA fer sure. Bitter thing happening all around the mouth. A little difficult at times for a lager lover. Barely any CO2 and what is there is nullified by the hop impact. Finish is long lingering rude hop bitterness with burne wet wood in the background. If you like this style, give it a try and ignore my numbers.

On tap at the brewbub. Big black pour with very little head. Nice mellow stout aroma. Very good initial stout impressions. Hides the 7% (as stated on the menu) rather well. Some bitterness does begin to build but never really gets near impy stout staus. Old burned wet campfire wood coats the back of the throat onthe finish. Decent overall stout experience.

A hazed amber ale with a very thin off white head. In aroma, chalky malt with light boiled veggies. In mouth, a chalky lager-like malt with mineral notes, watery bodied. On tap at PA Flavor, April 9th, 2011.

Sampled on draft at the brewery this beer poured a hazy off yellow with a white head. The aroma was vaguely tart and bitter. The flavor was tart, tangy and bitter with a light malty undertone and no discernable specific fruits. The finish was long tart and bitter. No specific plum flavor to this one. Disappointing.
