Sample courtesy of Cheeseboard, cheers Simon! Black colour, thin beige head and aroma of rich malt, chocolate, dark fruits, spicy chilli hint. Taste is sweet, malty, milk chocolate, vanilla, dark fruity, with some chilli heat and roasty bitterness. Oily mouthfeel, medium to full bodied, low carbonation, roast bitter with lingering chilli heat at the finish. Nicely drinkable.

Taste is malt caramel, tropical fruit, grapefruity citric, pine, with resiny hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying tangy hoppy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Cask at William Stead JDW Darlington. Gluten Free. Dark brown colour, tan foam head and aroma of rhubarb, malt. Taste is sweetish, malty, chocolate hint, with tart rhubarb & custard notes, and roasty bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying rhubarby spiced bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

750ml wired cork bottle from Seidear. Present from Margaret. Opened with a pop. Golden colour, short-lived foamy white head and aroma of apple, fruit. Taste is appley, fruity, tangy, with some funk and mellow acidity. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying acidic finish. Nicely drinkable.

440ml can from Craft & Berry. Gluten Free. Pale yellow gold colour, white foam head and aroma of malt, grain, floral, hay, grass. Taste is malty, grainy, bread, with hay, straw, and grassy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying tangy grassy bitter finish. Quite drinkable.
