Half pour draft at Fieldwork Brewing Company in San Leandro, California. The pour is a clear copper with a thin white head. The aroma is floral, honey, grass and herbal yeast. The taste is clean Belgian yeast Esters along with the floral honey of the nose. The palate is medium to light bodied with soft carbonation and the herbal yeast. Very drinkable Belgian ale.

Visited on a Thursday evening. Located in a busy shopping center, with a parking lot next door or street parking. Huge spot, you enter into a big patio with a retractable roof. The bar is straight ahead, with plenty of seating in either area. Scan a QR code at your table, and beers and food magically appear! Really large beer list, with 30 house beers available as full, half or taster pours. You are also able to order to go beers from QR code as well. Service was quick, good system.

Cask pint at Toronado in San Francisco, California. The pour is a slight haze golden copper with a cask foamy head that lasts. The aroma is grass and soft floral hop. Very fresh nose. The taste is really gentle, with great balance between a soft cereal cracker malt and the floral, softly fruit sweet, hop. There is more grass to the pleasantly lingering finish. The palate is light bodied with a soft natural cask body and a crisp, dry, super clean finish. Really nice.

Visited on a Wednesday evening. Located on a very busy block of South Haight, with parking very limited. The bar itself is grungy, with seats at the bar, and tables spread across the room. The draft list is pretty crazy, 42 beers total, with pretty much all of the best local beers on. Also had Moonlight Calcutta on cask. The bartender knew his beers and service was prompt. Toronado only and bottle selection were pretty nuts as well. Toronado 35th Anniversary from Russian River was available for purchase to go. Vibe is loud thrash metal and the place is cash only. An OG beer bar, and a must visit.

Visited for dinner on a Wednesday evening. Located in the Mission, right on Mission Street. Big, busy space, with a long bar along the right hand side, and a bunch of tables to the left. The beer selection was 14 house beers with a cooler with to go cans right as you enter. Service was prompt and friendly, the Detroit style mushroom pizza I had was solid and the IPA was crazy fresh. Cellarmaker is a must visit brewery in the Bay Area.
