~2 oz pour on draft at the Sake Brewpub in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Pour is clear, almost crystal though some very, very faint yellow does show. Aroma is rice, touch of vanilla sweetness and a bit of floral. Taste is the touch of sweetness at first, which moves smoothly to the rice. The finish lingers nicely with floral berries. Palate is medium bodied, hot and dry.

~2 oz pour on draft at the Sake Brewpub in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Pour is hazed cloudy whitish and clear. Really interesting looking in the glass. Aroma is a bit of citrus, some soft lavender floral and the normal fermeted rice notes. Taste is a combination of the lavender floral and bright hot rice alcohol. Though only mildly more alocoholic than the ginjo this really tasted a lot hotter. Palate is medium bodied, a bit rougher which actually worked nicely with the taste profile. Different, also nice.

~2 oz pour on draft at the Sake Brewpub in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Clear pour, touch of soft yellow accent. Aroma is softly floral, light apple fruit sweetness and the rice. Nice, softly layered nose. Taste reverses the elements of th nose, with rice up front, followed close behind with the fruit sweetness and the floral. Fresh and expressive. Palate is medium bodied and mouth coating, still, yet still lively and bright. Clean and nice. This was my favorite of the three I sampled.

300 ml bottle from beastiefan2k. 02,08 stamped on bottle. Pour is perfectly clear pale yellow gold. Shines like jewelry. Decent legs form on the glass during the swirl. Aroma of floral soft rice, with a faint pineapple citrus. Some apple, some pear - very soft and delicate. Taste is initially soft rice fruitiness, followed quickly by a bit of an edgy alcohol heat, followed again by the floral sweetness of the nose. The flavors transitioned really smoothly from one to the next. Palate is soft and clean, syrupy - coats the mouth beautifully, yet almost feels like its gliding down your throat. Really no residual alcohol heat. I have laughably limited knowledge of Sake, but quite liked this one. Not sure I will rush out to explore more, but will happily keep an eye open. As I had more of this, I just kept liking it more. Thanks for giving me a chance to try this one, Eugene.

Third Sake of the night at the Indra - Cider, Sake and Mead tasting 8/31/07. Pour looks like Chardonnay. Aroma is sweet boozy rice. Taste is very hot, with rice sweetness. Taste is normal Sake, though the heat really jumps out at you.

Second Sake of the night at the Indra - Cider, Sake and Mead tasting 8/31/07. Pour is nearly clear water. Perhaps a twinge of yellow, but really hard to distinguish from water. Aroma of powerful rice alcohol much more forward than previous Sake Aroma I have experienced. Some banana fruitiness in the flavor, though mostly over powered by the alcohol.

First Sake of the night at the Indra - Cider, Sake and Mead tasting 8/31/07. Pour is a cloudy, watered down milk. Aroma is alcohol, sweet bananas foster and some salty earthiness. Lots of floaties. Taste is a sweet, sticky rice and a bunch of heat at the end. This was my favorite Sake of the evening.
