12 oz bottled given to me by csbosox. The pour is a clear golden with fine bubbles rising up to a pure white foamy one inch head, which is quite lasting with eventual lace. The aroma is a rich toffee malt, straw, a bit of fruit sweetness and the tiniest hint of roast. The taste is big chewy toffee malt, the fruit sweet, herbal, all building up to a warming alcohol heat. The palate is medium to heavier bodied with soft carbonation and the hot, herbal sweet finish. This has all the marks for an Eisbock, nicely done. Thanks for this one, Chris.

0,33L bottle purchased at the Göttweig Abbey in Krems, Austria. The pour is a clear golden yellow with a foamy one inch head that crackles and falls. The aroma is herbal, clove, sweet malt, the tiniest whisper of acetone and general Belgian yeast. The taste is sharp malt, dry herbal, and floral yeastiness. The palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation and a dry malt and yeast finish. The flavors were a bit disjointed and odd with this one.

500 ml swing top bottle purchased at the Munich airport duty free shop. The pour is a slight haze of golden orange and a big 2 inch light tan foamy head that is lasting. The aroma is baking bread, straw, malt and a touch of grass. The taste is the bread malt, soft grass and bit of herbal in the finish. Nice mild well integrated flavors. The palate is medium bodied, unfiltered mouth feel, soft carbonation and a bread straw softly mineral earth finish. Solid.

12 oz bottle to glass at Los Tres Gallos in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The pour is copper, amber with an entire glass of tan foam head (not a great pour by the waiter). Sadly, the head was quite lasting, eventually fell with a nice lace. The aroma is caramel malt, apple sweet and a hint of roast. The taste is full malt flavor, sweet caramel, nut, and the soft roast of the nose. The palate is medium bodied, soft carbonation and a semi sweet lingering finish. Tasty, paired well with the excellent Mole of Tres Gallos.

Draft at Flora Farms in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico. The pour is clear golden, with a limited white head. The aroma is soft floral citrus hops along with cracker malt. The taste is a clean blend of the softly bitter citrus hop notes, and solid backbone of softly sweet cereal malt. The palate is light bodied with active carbonation and a dry softly bitter finish. Solid, easy drinking.
