Keg draught at the Real Ale Classroom, Stoneygate, Leicester. Light yellow/gold, hazy. Small film of white head. Aroma gives vanilla, mango, melon. A bit sweaty. Taste is very malt-led for a Polly's pale. Sweet, sticky biscuit notes leading to a bitter hop flavour. Grassy notes nearer the finish. Light to medium body with medium carbonation. A bit odd but still very good.

Keg draught at the Real Ale Classroom, Stoneygate, Leicester. Light orange/yellow gold, hazy with a small white head. Aroma of mango, melon, apricot, vanilla. Very enticing stuff. Wonderfully sweet, lots of stone and tropical fruits, some bitterness closer to the finish. It falls off that little bit at the end. Light body with medium carbonation. An impressive pale. Two by Two are hit and miss for me but this is firmly in the 'hit' column.

Keg draught at the Real Ale Classroom, Stoneygate, Leicester. Dark brown, mostly opaque with a small uneven khaki/tan head. Ashy aroma, some salt liquorice, dark cooking chocolate. Taste is sweetish at first, some chocolate, with a bitter twist to the finish. More ash follows, touch of Marmite. Watery body with medium to heavy carbonation. It's okay. I want more... or less.

Gravity cask at the Real Ale Classroom, Stoneygate, Leicester. Mid- to dark gold and clear with an uneven ring of off-white head. Hay, brown bread, honey, marmalade aroma. Sweet taste, touches of iced tea with a bitter finish. Light body, soft carbonation. Usually not my sort of beer but I quite liked this all on all. Has a subtlety to it.

355ml can bought as part of a delivery from Beers of America and drunk ar home. Yellow gold, a little bit hazy, with a small ephemeral white head. Getting a fruity sour aroma, lots of pineapple plus some grapefruit. Touches of vanilla. Tart taste, a good bit of guava up front, morphing into pineapple. Short finish. Watery body with medium to heavy carbonation. Decent sour.

440ml can given to me as a gift. From Friends of Ham, Leeds I think. Pours light to mid-gold, hazy with a small film of white head. Aroma of sweet, sticky vanilla malt, booze-stewed apricots, honey, juicy papaya, mango. Sweet, boozy taste but well-balanced, intense hop that never overpowers. Lots of melon and mango here. Good bitterness in the finish. Thick body, medium carbonation. Special.

440ml can taken away from Mill Hill Cask and Coffee and drunk at home. Very light yellow gold, a little bit hazy with a very small white head. Aroma of lemonade, satsuma, orchard fruit. Scrumptious .tadte is more muted and in line with the low ABV, sweet with light bitterness closer to the finish. Body’s thin with decent carbonation. It’s a great lower alcohol pale, despite the subject matter.

355ml can bought as part of a delivery from Beers of America and drunk at home. Pinkish purple, translucent with almost no head. Big blackcurrant and bramble aroma, light notes of raspberry and sour cherry. Sour taste which isn't overpowering but does stick with you to the finish. Raspberry and blackberry prominent here, but im missing the promised vanilla. Medium body with carbonation on the soft side. Good sour.
