16oz can. Fully insipid fruit beer. Lots of puree I suppose, but lifeless, lack balance, depth. All in all something I don't want to drink am embarrassed that it is even acceptable to make this crap.

16oz can. The aroma is immediately off-putting. Thin body, about as much depth as a seltzer. Decent hop selection can't save the shabby base. Not good.

16oz can. Really nice lager. Really well brewed, perfect lagering. The malts/corn are subtle and sublime. Easy drinking and straightforward. Mild hop balance, Mittelfruh and Magnum works well for the style.

12oz bottle. Kind of nails it for the style. Big cinnamon, vanilla. The barrel gives it some depth, warmth...whereas without it would be too sweet and one dimensional. A little of that icing flavoring, which gets tiring. Probably most enjoyable in smalls pours. Very drinkable for the ABV.

12oz bottle. Rather unique, sort of a barrel aged Imperial Porter. Considering its name, I don't really get that big of a barrel tone at all. Vanilla keeps it sweet, smoothing it all out I suppose. Good, but a little too much Porter, too little barrel. Base Porter is probably quite nice as well.

Tap at Lakefront. Nice ruby red body, thin off white head. Pleasantly classical US brewpub version. Deep English malt tones. Wimpy Fuggles balance, but still pleasant. Almost a cherry woodtone from the malts, yeast. Good, but exemplifies how US brewers can't really make great UK styles these days.
