Hazy yellow with a creamy, white head. Mild grapefruit aroma. Fruit candy. Pine. Taste is bitter with sour citric undertones. Bitter bordering on acrid finish. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Tropical but not particularly refreshing. Ok.

Murky brown with a foamy head. Brown sugar aroma. Clove. Taste is moderate sweet with lingering spice at the end. Medium bodied, prickly carbonation. Straightforward but a pleasant indulgence.

Amber with a sudsy, white head. Subdued grapefruit aroma with cereal underneath. Faint caramel over time. Taste is bitter, moderate citric, finishing much the same, although somewhat watery and of modest duration. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry. Ok.

Pale gold with a thin, foamy head. Wheat-like aroma, dank basement, not much spice. Taste is faint sweet with a green tea-like bitterness (faint) at the finish. Light bodied, mild carbonation, watery. Not much fun.

Dark brown with a thin, frothy head. Toffee and cherry aroma .. a bit syrupy. Taste is sweet and mildly cloying with toasted bitter undertones. Medium bodied, mild carbonation. Too rough and rudimentary to be a good example of the style. Drinkable.

Gold with a frothy head. Aroma promises honey melon, biscuits, honey. Taste is bitter with a mild citric twist. Long, bitter finish. Lingering resin. Medium bodied , moderate carbonation, dry. Not bad.
