Brown and slightly hazy with a creamy head. Toffee and red currant aroma. Taste is moderate toasted bitter with mildly sweet undertones. Medium bodied, mild carbonation. Easygoing. Good take on the style.

Gold with a frothy, white head. Aroma promises mineral water, dankness, tangerines. All very subdued. Taste is very mildly herbal bitter with an empty, watery finish. Light bodied, mild carbonation, no backbone. Empty.

Bottle shared with Silke on our first night in St Alphonse. Black with a frothy, beige head of moderate duration. Aroma of roasted grains, licorice, and a whisp of berry jam. Taste is mildly sweet up front, bittersweet at the back with the roast and licorice nicely intertwined. Medium bodied, smooth, mild carbonation. Good one.

Gold with a frothy head. A thin haze of floaters. Interesting aroma mixes spice with citrus and plums. Taste is mildly bitter the whole way through. Body to the light side of medium, mildly watery texture. Ok.
