Pale gold and hazy with a fleeting crown. Aroma promises wort, that usual mix of dank cellar, fruitiness, and tennis shoe. Taste is faint bitter. Mild carbonation. Has an empty, unfinished feel. Not offensive but certainly not good.

Gold with a foaming, white head. Mild, coconut aroma with touches of honey, apple and plastic. Taste is mildly coconut sweet up front, mild to moderate bitter at the back with the hops making itself felt. Full bodied, mild carbonation, quite smooth, warm at the back. Not bad, but I do have a weakness for coconut sometimes.

Deep amber with a foamy head and a good bit of sediment. Aroma of dates and fruit candy. Taste is mildly bitter with yeasty sweet undertones. Sharper at the finish, with the hops making itself felt. Body to the full side of medium, prickly carbonation. Booze well hidden. A bit monotonous for a Tripel. Not unpleasant.

Dark amber with a sudsy head. Aroma of overripe peach on the border of fermentation. Taste is moderate bitter with a touch of sourdough. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Rough and simple. Drinkable.

Amber with a frothy, white head. Passion fruit and papaya with caramel undertones. Taste is bitter with an acrid finish, balanced in part by a touch of caramel on the tongue. Too boozy for my taste, and not entirely disguised. Otherwise, decent, if intense. Looks like it’ll be my last tick from Rogue though. I did enjoy their beers back in the day.

Hazy gold with a creamy, white head. Fruity but worty aroma. Moderate dankness. Taste is mildly sweet with touches of dough and wort. Body to the light side of medium, mildish carbonation. Average drinkability for the style.

Dark, dark brown with a foamy to fizzy, beige head. Big caramel aroma with mild, coconut undertones. Taste is mildly sweet with the tropical coconut tone taking over the finish. Lacks much in the way of roasted bitterness and comes off rather one-dimensional. The body is all wrong too, not enough chewiness and far too fizzy. To its credit, the alcohol stays well hidden. Underwhelming for an impy.

Black with a frothy, off-white head of modest duration. Has an incredibly odd and unpleasant aroma that I‘ve never experienced in a beer before. A bit of research turned up the information that beets are in the mix. Uggh. Sorry, not my thing. The whole mess smells like pickled beets. The chili on the other hand, was easy to pick out from the first sip. It adds a pleasant kick to the moderately bitter finish. But there’s no saving it from that aroma.
