Bottle bought across from the brewery. Amber, light haze, big head. Grain and light malt nose, dry hay. Flavor is a wee bit astringent with caramel hints, pretty mildly hopped, dry aftertaste. It's okay, slightly better than the Helles for sure. On another note, with the woody caramel, this is not really fitting the style of Zwickl...

Bei einem Zwickl erwartet man ein trübes Helles, dieses Bier ergießt sich aber kupferfarben ins Glas. Leichte Trübung. Schöner, feinporiger Schaum. Malz, gekochte Früchte und frisch geschnittenes Laubbaumholz in der Nase. Geschmacklich fast identisch. Gekochte Früchte, süßes Malz, kernig, trockenes Getreide, Spuren von aromatischem Holz und ein winziger Hauch frisch-fruchtige Limette. Milde Hopfung. Milde Carbonisierung, schön weich, gute Substanz. Hab mir hier im Vorfeld die bisherigen Rezensionen und Bepunktungen angeschaut und habe ein im besten Fall durchschnittliches Bier erwartet. Nachdem ich es aber jetzt selbst verkostet habe muss sagen, dass Bier ist außergewöhnlich und gefällt mir echt gut. Erinnert mich an ein richtig gutes oberpfälzer Zoiglbier. Sieht hübsch aus, tolles Aroma, schmeckt echt gut, schönes Mundgefühl. (There'll Be) Peace In The Valley (For Me). Das Bier war Bestandteil des „Passauer Bier Advent Kalender 2023“ der in Zusammenarbeit von Probierschule.de, dem PASTA!-Magazin und Edeka Schwaiberger entstand. Die Zusammenstellung der Biere ist wirklich liebevoll gewählt und enthält einige Highlights. Das Valley Zwickl war eines davon.

500 ml tap. Unclear amber with a foamy head. Sourdough, hay, malt, citrus, basement notes, light red wine. Mild dry sourness, some bitterness and sweetness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, dry sour finish.

€-Flascherl: Golden, hazy to cloudy, medium-sized and slowly collapsing yellowish head; mild to moderate sweetish toasty-malty nose, grainy-dusty traces as well, yeasty-fruity-worty background; mild to moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, both soft and fizzy, light to medium bodied; slightly lingering sweetish-bitter finish with some "greenish" worty traces in the aftertaste. Not bad, but could be a bit "riper"...

Aroma is sugar icing, some bonbon, sliiight grassiness. Taste is very minerally, sweet and some grassy bitterness. Bitter aftertaste. Too minerally for me.

Bottle shared at jonas place. A hazy orange golden beer with a mid-sized good lasting beige head. Aroma of mild grainy malt, floral hops, toasted malt. Taste of mild grainy malt, mild sweet malt, toasted malt, straw, medium bitterness.
