Retired American Luddite and refugee of the 2018-2024 Ratebeer/Anheuser-Busch (InBev) fiasco. Thanks Brewver for the chance to continue rating! ....... and yes, I'll soon be a supporter! ........ Since 1968, I've enjoyed all kinds of cheap macro pale lagers, starting with Carling Black Label bottles I found in Grampa Gino's wine cellar! Later, my dad had faves like Old Mil, Strohs, Bud, Coors Light and Piels! They were all good for a budding youngster like me. My ratings aren't to style, but how much I liked it. Thus, my fave styles; lambic, wild & flemish, rate much higher than IPA since I don't like bitter hoppy beers. You like IPA? The lower my IPA rating, the better according to style! There, you have it! Easy peezy, no worries!

From a can pours big black large and in charge. Pretty nice medium head that fades to pond scum. Nose is mostly malted milky roasted stout but just maybe I think I may get some coconut? Just my brain's machination. First taste is milk stout but, the coconut in there now makes it presence known. Not a fan of coconut and this is more difficult than the original LH milk stout, fer sher. Yea, this is ok for a tik, but would not buy again due to the coconut influences. Chocolate? What chocolate? Actually borders on a pastry stout, JMHO. Some very soft co2 but needs more to balance the flavor spike. Its called coconut milk stout, you think they put coconut milk in there? LoL. Finishes with a mouthcoating feel and a lingering texture bordering on sweet cloy.

When I bought this tick, I was cringing a little; thinking oh no, another stupid ass fruited ale and spice combo. Now that I look at the label closer I see its a tart and my spirits are immediately uplifted. It pours a somewhat artificial cloudy orange color almost like orange soda. How often do you get orange flavored beers that actually look real orange? Nose is an odd, but attractive orange sour aroma. Wow, the first taste is quite yummy, suspecting I'd get a bitter ass fruit ale, I get a pleasant taste of sour tart with what can be said to be orange. Not sure about the vanilla but the tartness is sure enjoyable and this also combines with the co2 for a pleasing wild ale sensation blast. For a 6.7%, you'd never know it had any alky. Its so well hidden that I just spend this time enjoying this brew. Oh my, the end of the can? Balderdash, should have got more of this puppy. Thanks UA! Good over beer tasting session.

2.5$ can at vintage estate. Pour is nearly clear pale with a slight light brown tint. Whitish head fades to 0.12 inch. Nose is heavy peanut butter. Probably should be styles a flavored. First impression of the palate is its soft creamy carbonation. Yes, PB on an otherwise ale flavor. Slight odd ale bitterness. Never did get the white stout thang. Not sure if I'm getting any stout flavors at all, not even the so called rich, familiar coffee-chocolate stout flavors. Goes down fairly easy. Near the end, that medium bitterness begins to rise and sets in on the back of the throat for the finish. Not bad but not as good as Hershey's DeCider Presidential nor Penn Brewery's Sarris Meltaway.

3$ can at vintage. Very nice dark brown with an off white head. Nose is attractive and mild. First taste is very mello with some slightly roasted aspects. Very civilized, very well mannered. Oh so nice to have really friendly easy qualffable dark beer. Dark lager, one of my favorite styles. When I think about dark beer, this is what I originally thought of, not stupid boozy imperial or baltic stuff. I'm liking this brew, I shouldah gottah 6 pack. In the middle, more of that slight burnt roasted character is starting to set in. Since it is so mild, this is a welcomed attribute. Good level of fun carbonation throughout the session. Quite nice. Mild bitter burnt reaches an apex on the finish. Not bad BF! Right up there with Straub Dunkel, Penn Dark and Flensburger Brauerei Dunkel.

Really cool label on this can and it has a very nice cloudy pale pour with a quintessential interesting head. Nose is fresh cut pine or spruce, like yer walking in the evergreen forest. First taste is so terrible and rude, its such a bitchen bastard. Sticks to the inside and readily coats your mouth with a nasty backlash. Such a meatgrinder with old rubber innertube, deisel and turpentine. Whew baby. What a dastardly bastard. Oh well, what else can be said? Its terribly on style and if you like IPA, you need to try this bitter ass bombardier.

3$ can from vintage, was looking forward to this, hefe brews intrigue me and pique my curiosity. Pour is surprisingly clear pale even with a swirling of the can. Nice white head hangs for a while. Nose is typical hefe aroma; some banana, maybe some clove. Flavor is quite laid back and muted, a little watery, but there is the mild banana bubble gum thing going on, not sure if I pic out any clove, and I'm glad about that. Very well behaved, with no ill attributes or bitterness. Could easily drink a few of these babies, not much apparent alky contnet. Easy finish, not bad.
