Retired American Luddite and refugee of the 2018-2024 Ratebeer/Anheuser-Busch (InBev) fiasco. Thanks Brewver for the chance to continue rating! ....... and yes, I'll soon be a supporter! ........ Since 1968, I've enjoyed all kinds of cheap macro pale lagers, starting with Carling Black Label bottles I found in Grampa Gino's wine cellar! Later, my dad had faves like Old Mil, Strohs, Bud, Coors Light and Piels! They were all good for a budding youngster like me. My ratings aren't to style, but how much I liked it. Thus, my fave styles; lambic, wild & flemish, rate much higher than IPA since I don't like bitter hoppy beers. You like IPA? The lower my IPA rating, the better according to style! There, you have it! Easy peezy, no worries!

On tap at the source. Hazy pale. Clean fresh beery nose. Slightly tart initial impressions on the taste. Quite flat. Getting some pepper. Easy going, no ill bitter sharp attitudes like many domestic pils. Comes across more like a well made pale macro lager. Not bad, I find myself enjoying this rather refreshing brew. Yes, I'll get a growler of this stuff to take home!

Cheap can from kroger Cincinnati. Pour is haze on pale. Nose is rather like green pine cones. First taste is something similar to bitter green grapefruit rinds, very bitter and just maybe some orange hidden in the background. Some decent carbonation. Not as mouth coating or viscous as many domestic IPA. Bitterness build thru the middle. Getting to be a little too much for this pale lager lover. My american white female liberal (awful) taste buds are are protesting all over my tongue holding up preprinted signs paid for by georgie soros. Yea, terribly on style, what else can be said except my palate has been ruined for at least an hour, whew. Blah blah black sheep.

Cheap can from kroger. Color is a clear medium dark brown, like omhper says, slightly darker than copper. Tan head fades rapidly. Nose of alarmingly heavy holiday spiced winter beer. Big swig is also a bomb of holiday spices, way too much for this lager lover and totally in yer face. I don't care for heavily spiced beers and I don't care for the taste of this one. Slight warming sensation on the way down. Could be from the alky, but I sense its more from the heavy spices in this brutal winter beer. Getting some malt but mostly its ferocious festering fissiparous flavors. What a session, blah, bullshitty blasphemy. Very difficult to find any of these holiday spiced brews of any enjoyable value.

Pour is like dark iced tea. Nice alabaster head. Very unique odd mild farmy nose with hints of vanilla and spice. First taste is not real hoppy and not real spicy, and I'm glad for both. Actually is rather interesting. Was expecting a somewhat IPA hop blast along with a holiday spice bomb concoction. Another big swig and I think this happy bullshit is growing on me. Also, you'd never know this was 6%, hides it well. In the middle this stuff is turning out to be better than expected. Not as good as Biker Ginger or Biker Cotton balls but it is certainly above average for a pale lager lover. Interesting with some fun farmy notes hiding in the background. This is all backed up with some decent carbonation as well. Good finish leaves me hoping I got another can of this brew. On par and as good as Michelob Ginger Wheat and Abita Louisiana Spiced .

Snap up a cheap can from kroger. Slop it into a pint pot. See its practically clear pale but ever so slight haze. Smell the alarming resinous pine aroma. Taste the brutal bloodthirsty bitterness of a dreadfully awful on style impy IPA. Endure the viscous mouthcoating and soft carbonation. Explain, elucidate and expound why anybody would like this style. Stay calm and hope the alky takes effect soon. Relax and think about a crispy ice cold pale lager for a chaser. Contemplate the value of the negative experience to achieve this cheap tick. Such is the life of a brewver beer ticking whore.

Can from kroger. Slight orange tint on pale. Maybe some orange in the nose, otherwise neutral. Yes, a little tart and interestingly quite dry. Good level of co2. A little dull as I near the middle. Maybe could use a little sweetness, but I know many beer dudes wouldn't like that. Rather dull very mild lemon but quaffable. Not as dull as many domestic fruit beers. Strawberry is non existent. End is decent, no real ill character in this. Not bad overall. Could drink a few of these. Yes, good carbonation to the end of the can. The lemon is finally getting stronger on the finish.
