Retired American Luddite and refugee of the 2018-2024 Ratebeer/Anheuser-Busch (InBev) fiasco. Thanks Brewver for the chance to continue rating! ....... and yes, I'll soon be a supporter! ........ Since 1968, I've enjoyed all kinds of cheap macro pale lagers, starting with Carling Black Label bottles I found in Grampa Gino's wine cellar! Later, my dad had faves like Old Mil, Strohs, Bud, Coors Light and Piels! They were all good for a budding youngster like me. My ratings aren't to style, but how much I liked it. Thus, my fave styles; lambic, wild & flemish, rate much higher than IPA since I don't like bitter hoppy beers. You like IPA? The lower my IPA rating, the better according to style! There, you have it! Easy peezy, no worries!

Cheap can from vintage estate. Pop the lid to get a nose of somewhat processed beer with a metallic aroma. Look orange tint red and totally clear. This says sour wild, so I'm expecting something good since that's one of my fave styles. Well, the first taste is a real letdown, not sure if I'm getting any sour or wild attributes at all. I'd say the effect is more like a fruit beer, a dull fruit beer at that. Its not even fru-fru-fruity and its quite dry. The dryness is not appreciated. I've had other hibiscus beers that were a bold, tart flavor like cranberries or sour cherries. This is nothing like that, quit a let down. Well anyway, as a fruit beer, its quit average. As a sour, it fails. JMHO. There, you have it. Sorry FS, somebody should have tasted this before you labeled and sold it as such. I see its from Minneapolis, figgers.

Big 5$ pounder can courtesy of troy. Big thanks guy. You really like to piss me off. You know I detest IPAs. Pours oddly clear pale with a big white foamy head that goes craggy. Nose sweet IPA candy perfume, interesting. I know its a ploy to catch me off guard, and it does. First taste is deadly on style; gross, monstrous, horrendous, vile & filthy. So much bitterness squeezed into a tiny little package. Got to be enough rubbery bitterness in here for even a man's man or men. Big fat smack, wallop, belt clout, biff, socky whack in the mouth. Another large and in charge calamity, a misadventure adversity of disaster for my palate. Its a kick in the teeth. As a pale lager lover, I should get a dewey button, badge and a medal if I finish this brutal banger. In the end, it has to be much greater ABV than the 5.6% listed here, I'm feeling it. You think you like IPA? You need to try this before you die.
