Gerbeer Profile

330 ml bottle. Pours a dark orange/brown with light head. Aromas of orange peel, cognac, raisins, a bit of oak, and toasty malts. Flavors follow same with lots more orange peel and some bourbon coming in on top of the cognac; but still lots of the latter. Fruity and dry with a bit of heat. A nice mix on English and American BW. Very good.

330 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tan head. Aromas of treacle, dark fruit, licorice and roasted malts. Flavors of licorice, dark chocolate and roasted malts. A solid stout with a fruity Belgian influence.

330 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with moderate head. Aromas of fruity oak, dark cherries, vanilla and rich toasty malts. Flavors follow same with nice dark cherry notes and a good play on oak without much of a vinous effect. Maybe just a bit of clean red wine… Tasty. Excellent.

330 ml can. Pours black with short tan head. Aromas of soft sweet bourbon, chocolate nougat, chocolate fudge, vanilla and slick roasted malts.Flavors of oaky whiskey, dry chocolate, vanilla, and roasted malts. Maybe some peaty/sour notes which creep in to these projects.

330 ml bottle. Pours almost black but with no head. Aromas of sweet dark fruit, cinnamon, candi sugar, bourbon, and toasted malts. Flavors of raisin bread, sourish oak, candi sugar, dark caramel, and sweet toasted malts. Unique though a bit odd with the sweet and sour. The ABV only shows up a thinner.

330 ml bottle. Pours a hazy dark brown with full head. Aromas of dry caramel, a bit of oak, a bit of Belgian yeast, and toasted malts. Flavors of oak, minerals, dry dark fruit and sharp toasty malts. Sharp metallic finish. Not sure if the oak is an improvement.
