Found this one on a visit to the extensive ruins of the Cistercian Furness Abbey. I believe the beer has been around a while in name, but has changed brewer a few times. A clear brown colour with a sweet dark-maltiness in taste, with a more genuine dark-malty aroma. Certainly traditional, very good bottle-conditioning here.

Converted mill over a couple of floor, including an outdoor terrace area on the upper level. Food features highly here with plenty of restaurant style tables throughout, but it's a pub too from Lancaster Brewery, with regulars and specials available on a long row of cask ales, which also carries guests. It's well designed, well decorated venue giving a very fresh traditional-modern appeal to a lovely old building.

Cindy Singh is the latest most wanted outlaw in the FBI's top 10 list. This 'Outlaw' has its own kind of appeal with a heavy tropical aroma in the glass even before sipping has begun. It's slightly less stated in taste but still very fruity to an extent it hides the brew's strength very well. Flavours are citrus and lots of sugars with a little bit of coconut about them.

There are 43 countries that operate a monarchy, with 31 of those currently having a named 'King' as their head of state. This 'king' is quite sweet-hoppy, with bubble-gum style notes in this respect. Golden and quite dry in texture. Bought from Nissa supermarket.

The Hobgoblin was the name of one of the first pubs I frequented when I moved to London at the age of 18. It's now called The Rose. Clear golden with a fine enough hoppiness and easy strength - not thin or weak tasting at all. Pretty good session material here.
