(Draft at Biererei, Berlin, 15 July 2025) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of bread, head and citrus. Malty taste with bread, grain, grass, hay and a mild herbal/grassy bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Fresh and well balanced. Quite nice.

Excellent beer bar down in a basement in the residential area Neukölln, close to Boddinstrasse U-bahn. Modern interior in concrete, steel and light wood. Bar on the left when entering, fair amount of seating. Good outdoor area as well. Up to 22 taps of craft beer, good mixture of styles and beer nationalties. Excellent bottle/can selection. Friendly and knowledgeable service. Mainly inhabited by beer geeks. Usually not over crowded. Top spot in Berlin, a must visit.

(Draft at Muted Horn, Berlin, 15 July 2025) Cloudy golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity nose with pineapple, mango, grapefruit and passionfruit. Fruity taste with notes of pineapple, mango, citrus, grapefruit, white bread and a generous resiny/citric bitterness in a slightly boozy finish. Full body, with a certain sweetness. On the strongish side, but rich, hoppy and juicy. Very nice.

(Bottle) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, hoppy nose with crisp-bread, passionfruit, orange and fresh herbal hops. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of bread, passionfruit, orange peel and a mild herbal/citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, dry. Hoppy and refreshing. Nice one.

(Bottle) Brownish amber colour, hazy, with foamy beige head. Malty nose with notes of oak wood, brandy, caramel, wort bread, brown sugar, treacle-toffee, orange chocolate and liquorice. Malty, vinous taste with oak wood, brandy, caramel, wort bread, brown sugar, treacle toffee, orange peel, chocolate, tobacco, liquorice and a mild spicy bitterness in a warming finish. More than medium body, sweet. Rich and warming, with a generous wood character. Very nice.

(Bottle, vintage 2018) Dark reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with dried fruit, dates, fruit cake, treacle, apricot marmalade and chocolate. Malty, slightly roasty taste with notes of dried fruit, dates, raisins, caramel, treacle, coffee, prunes, soy sauce and a warming finish with fairly low bitterness. Almost full body, quite sweet. Rich, sweet and warming. Very nice.

Nice place just across the street from Dolden Mädel. Actually a beer store, serving 8 taps as well. Good bottle and can selection (apparently, being a beer store). One large table at the center, some seats around the place. Seating outside as well. Good service. Inhabited by locals and beer geeks. Not really in a tourist area, but I guess one or two beer tourists would find their way here. Just in between Platz der Luftbrücke and Mehringdamm U-bahn stations. Well worth a visit.
