Can. Nose yeasty, apricot, lemon. Taste lemony, yeasty, slight minerality, more lemon hint of thin orange juice.

I didn't understand this at all.

Nose is spicy, licorice, brown sugar, hint of raisin, almond, a lovely rich bourbon. Taste is sweet, brown sugar, licorice, spice, malt, hint of brown bread, more sugar, bourbon, almond, Christmas cake leading to a spicy finish.

Struise barrel age so well. Always so balanced.

Bottle. Nose is muted; banana, bubblegum, cloves. Taste is bubblegum, banana, cloves, more bubble gum, very slight malt. Very thin as you would expect.

It's to bubblegummy, and feels more like a soda. It's one of the weaker alcohol free I have tried. I would not choose this over a water or a cola.

Bottle. My first in a number of years; a pleasure to find it again. Nose is malty, bread, brown sugar, a resinous, hoppy pine.

Taste is big resin, pine, grapefruit, honey, leading to brown sugar, a hint of vanilla, more pine, , dough, malt, and a peppery pine finish.

It's a wonderful beer and I have missed it.

Bottle. Nose is balsamic, sour, lots of funk, pastry, but balanced by a vanilla, cream sweetness, red berry, a hint of port, and red wine. An outstanding nose.

Taste is tart, green apple, oak, an emergent funk, lots of red wine notes giving it real depth. Struise seem particularly adept at aging in redwine barrels, I always love their beers aged in this way.

Bottle 2021-2022. Nose is brie, floral, overwhelming brett, hits of soft fruit, very funky. The tart notes open as it breaths. Taste is wheat, leading to oak, slight vegetation, umami, very very dry, malt, white grape, body with the lightest lemon and green apple tartness in the finish. The mouthfeel is fuller than you might imagine, but I always find it being flat a bit disconcerting.

Superb beer and it changes as it breathes, becoming tarter I find.
