6 pack from Aldi (obviously). Got these because there was fuck all else on the shelves. Anyhoo. Clear straw gold. Pretty decent white swede stays the course well. Very grassy gassy and bitter. Drinks easy overall. Maybe feels a tad flabby but at the price point it’s definitely a bev I’d get in again when I’m after a steady away fridge filler.

Nose is grass, slightly metallic, herbal. Taste is metalic, hint of corn, grassy, herbal finish with hint of citrus.

Green 330ml stub bottle at 4.7%. Clear gold with white head. Aroma of dusty and bready malts, lemon, hint of grass and black pepper. Taste of bread, light corn note, grass, lemon. Light to medium bodied, well carbonated, semi-dry. A crisp bitterness would work well here but its not labelled a pilsner. Not bad though.

330ml squat bottle weighing in at 4.7%. Purchased at Aldi, Countesswells Rd, Aberdeen. It pours clear yellow - gold with a white head. The aroma is green / grassy / cabbagy vibe upfront, sweetish, rich tea biscuits and toasty grain. The taste is quite crispy, dry, snappy, nice bitterness underpinned with sweetness, green, grassy, green veg, cabbage, spicy, biscuit, white bread and grain with a dry finish. Average body and prickly carbonation. Decent lagerbier.

Bottle. Clear golden body with a white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of grassy hops and white bread. Flavour of steel, raw potato and rice crispies. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. It smells nice but tastes just ok. For me it lacks crispness.

Bottle (Aldi). Gold with a rocky white head. Aroma is grainy with grassy hops. A hint of cardboard. Smells cheap but OK. It was cheap. Tastes is a little more impressive - there's a little richness to the malt and the bitter finish is modest but clear enough. Certainly beat my expectations.

330ml bottle part of a 6 pick - Clear golden body, rocky white top which dissipates quickly. Nose is bready and grass, the taste more or less the same.
