Bottle. Nose is rich chocolate gateaux, bourbon, almonds, dark chocolate, cherry, marzipan, hint of salt and soy.
Taste it rich chocolate leading to licorice, quality drinking chocolate, hints of vanilla, spice, touch of salt, the the bourbon cuts through the sweetness, coconut ,dark chocolate, faintest hints of roast.
The body is extraordinary, like drinking a pillow.

Level 3 for IPA - Black / Cascadian Dark ticks with a total of 15 ticks of this sub style.
Dark Arches from Northern Monk Brew Co. was the one that did it!

Bottle from a Tesco drunk in the corpuscular light of a premier Inn. Smells of grass and malt.. taste is corn, malt, grassy and quite a bit of salt. Not for me Clive.

Bought and Lancashire and correctly consumed in Lancashire. Nose is fruity, lightly citrus. Taste is grapefruit, hints of lemon, lemon balm, light pale malts. There is no really discernible tea element, maybe a little leathery tanin. But I was hunting for it.

Nose is licorice, umami, hint of smoke, whiskey, earthy. Taste is peaty, ash, leading to soy, whiskey, hint of blackcurrant, with a touch of dark chocolate and coffee in the bitter ashy finish.
Really superb. It's complex but very well balanced.

Taste is a let down in comparison. Leather, woody, vegetable, leaf, tobacco, earth. Hints of vanilla, slightly floral. Nothing particular on style for the flavour profile.

One of the most extraordinary smelling beers I've ever had. Could almost be a cologne. Tastes pretty bad though.
