Bottle thanks to Stuu. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of chocolate, leather and faint whisky. For 5 years in a peated whisky barrel you'd expect a bit more smoke and iodine. Taste has a hint. Dark chocolate and roast. Light seaweed.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. At some point this has been stored on its side, and a yeasty deposit settled around the cap. I kept it upright, and this yeast then came out in lumps when pouring. So it's not a looker, lots of floaters in the hazy amber pour. Nice off-white head. Aromas of red fruit, caramel, bread. Taste has honey, more red fruit, toffee and nuts. Light sweet finish.
