On cask up the White Lady.
Appearance - clear, pale yellow and bright. Thin off white head.
Nose - floral, lemon and grapefruit.
Taste - sweeter lemon, maybe lemon curd and going into pineapple.
Palate - light to medium bodied, sweetish middle but some dryness on the finish.
Overall - pretty good cask.

Wetherspoon Spring Beer Festival 2026, Beer#13. Clear golden coloured ale. It has a lovely sessionable texture, only a tad fruity though, hops fill the void.

Cask handpull at Shakespeare Head Holborn. Clear gold colour lasting white head. OK blond ale. Some citrus flavours. Some yellow grapefruit flavour. No house Sheps yeast aroma. Decent enough citrus blond ale.

Cask at Picture House, Stafford. Pours golden yellow with a small foamy almost white head and good lacing. Not much of an aroma – just hints of tropical fruits. In the mouth it starts off slightly bitter with a creamy texture and this slowly increases. Flavours are tropical fruits, floral hops, mango and traces of lychee. Later some underlying malts and hints of sharpness can be detected, plus traces of melon. This is reasonable.

Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. Crystal clear deep gold with an off-white head and a light fizz. Superb condition. Caramel, lemon, sticky mango, a touch of dust and a light leafy hop note. Opal Fruit sweets. Sweetish, but I quite like that. Decent brew to start the fest.

Half-pint, cask ale at The White Swan (JDW) in Islington. Near-clear golden body, pearl white head leaving spotty lacing behind. Moments of mango and peaches on the nose. Mixed taste of dusty hops, mango, and grain. Hop fruity ending. Medium bodied. Quite okay (London, 02.03.2026).
