From bottle at Pater Marcus, Budapest, on a warm summer’s day 01.07.25. Dark brown. Head is quickly diminishing to nothing. Aroma and taste of sweet dark malt, prune porridge, and dark caramel. Also some bitterness.

Visited on a warm summer’s day 01.07.25. On the hill up to the Fisherma’s Bastion and the castle and all that on the road going left after the chain bridge. Outdooe and inndoor seating. The other guests were tourists as myself. Friendly and efficient service, good food snd reasonable prices. Four beers on tap, from which I choose a local session IPA. Eleven canned/bottles beers, which were mostly industrial stuff like Leffe Blond and Heineken.

From tarp at Hunyadi Lakásbisztró és Kézműves Söröző, Budapest, 01.07.25. Translucent golden. Foamy, dense and persistent off-white head and lacing. Fine aroma and taste of pale malt, papaya, dried papaya, pineapple, dried apricot and tawny marmalade. Well-balanced and good. Full mouthfeel for such a low ABV.

Visited on a warm summer’s night 30.06.25. I had a very good sirloin steak and a couple of equally good lagers. Friendly, English speaking service. Busy even on a Monday. They have a large, enclosed and roof-covered back garden with a fountain and seats and tables. They have 14 beers on tap – all craft beers from various small Continental breweries.

From tap at Beerstro14, Budapest, 30.06.25. Pale amber. Diminishing white head and some lacing. Fone aroma of medium dark malt and tawny marmalade. Good.
