Bottle from the Co-operative.
Appearance - amber and clear with a fluffy off-white head.
Nose - caramel & syrup. Some brown bread.
Taste - more syrup and brown bread at the back.
Palate - light to medium bodied, sweet middle and finish.
Overall - I would not call this a Bitter as it lacks bitterness.

Can from the Co-operative.
Appearance - cloudy yellow to orange and a nicely proportioned off-white head.
Nose - ripe pear, soft melon and edging to mango.
Taste - juicy pear again, orange zest to the fore, mango skin hanging in at the end.
Palate - medium bodied, creamy and pulpy. Zesty finish.
Overall - dangerously smashable!

Appearance - deep golden and a slightly off-white, fluffy head.
Nose - caramel, toffee apple and bread, a hint of dry citrus.
Taste - mainly caramel and bread or rather cake, this time.
Palate - light to medium bodied, creamy and sweet.
Overall - needs to clean on the finish a bit more. So so!

Bottle from the Co-operative.
Appearance - golden and clear with very lazy bubbles. Foamy white head.
Nose - lemon, green apple and floral.
Taste - more green apple, light soap note and floral. There's a biscuit underlay.
Palate - light to medium bodied, tangy sweet middle and fairly dry finish.
Overall - decent.

Bottle from the Eastern European shop on Dalry Road, Edinburgh.
Appearance - golden and clear with steady carbonation and a fluffy snow white head.
Nose - corn and bread, some lemon and a hint of herby hops.
Taste - lemon, bread and corn.
Palate - lightly oily texture, light to medium bodied, gentle bitterness but could be more.
Overall - decent.

Appearance - murky yellow with a creamy white head.
Nose - pineapple and orange but mainly nectarine.
Taste - nectarine and orange peel.
Palate - medium bodied, juicy and light bitterness.
Overall - good!

75cl bottle from Appellation Wines.
Appearance - cloudy brown with a beige head.
Nose - lovely aroma of Flemish brown, spice cake and lightly woody.
Taste - spiced cake, brown bread with a gentle edge of balsamic.
Palate - medium bodied, plus, with a dry, lightly tart, long finish.
Overall - lovely, one of the beers of the year.
